TCS designed a special MAD workshop on environmental careers for the Michigan State University Fisheries and Wildlife Department. This event provided TCS with the opportunity to develop a program for a very different audience — students who were mostly focused on natural science careers in the freshwater sciences. TCS was asked to expand the students’ awareness of the other sciences and policy careers and to think beyond academia for careers in the private industry, government agencies, and the non-profit sector. This full-day event included opening talks on those career options followed by smaller group sessions on professional skills such as elevator speeches.
