Overview: As part of the “Margaret A. The Coastal Society will host the workshop at the Duke Nicholas School of the Environment and in coordination with the Duke Ocean Policy Working Group’s symposium, The Value of Water. Please note that this is not an official part of the symposium and you do not need to attend the symposium to attend this workshop. Join us to jump-start or enhance your coastal career path!

Preliminary Program Description: This half-day event will feature an early afternoon plenary session where seasoned professionals will share personal insights on pathways to coastal-related career options in the academic, governmental, private, and non-profit sectors. The second half of the afternoon will be devoted to interactive break-out sessions focused on honing skills and sharing tools to boost your career. During breaks, attendees will have the opportunity to network with speakers, potential mentors, and each other.
