The third TCS-NCAR offering under the NSF grant was on “Building a Support Network for Students of Color in the Ocean and Coastal Sciences.” This topic emerged from our discussions with minority students and faculty at Minority Serving Institutions. Many students stated that they lacked the support needed to weave a successful pathway through college, including graduate school. The panel included two graduate students and one post-doctoral fellow.
